TWO businesses are on top of the world after winning an internationally recognised health and safety award.

Comma Oil And Chemicals Limited, based in Lower Range Road, Gravesend, and Bovis Homes Group plc, in North Ash Road, Longfield, were awarded gold medals for their attention to safety during the past year.

The awards, from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), were given to the firms at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel at the NEC.

RoSPA's chief executive, John Howard, said: "Comma Oil and Bovis Homes are to be congratulated for their success and we would like to see more organisations following their lead.
