kff delivers local food produce to Shepherd Neame pubs

AYLESFORD frozen food supplier kff is the latest Kent company to join forces with Shepherd Neame and its Local Food from Local People initiative.

The campaign champions locally sourced produce in Shepherd Neame's pub restaurants.

As a supplier of excellence kff will deliver locally sourced chilled, frozen foods to Shephred Neame's 50 public houses in the South East.

Under the agreement, goods will be delivered by kff's multi-temperature vehicles which cut out the need for separate vehicles to make deliveries.

The technology reduces the number of food miles travelled and the number of delivery vehicles on Kent's roads.

Shepherd Neame retail director Nigel Bunting said: "There is a great deal of synergy between Shepherd Neame and kff, we are both established family-run businesses, championing local produce, sourcing local suppliers wherever possible to promote sustainability, and giving chefs access to the finest ingredients.

"The agreement helps us further support Kent's economy and reduce the environmental impact of deliveries to our pubs.

"It provides a reliable, convenient service, offering our customers high quality food."

"We hope to work with kff to develop more efficient, technology based ordering systems."
