Law firm Brachers has made five new promotions as it continues to style itself as a nurturer of talent.

The Maidstone-based company has made three lawyers partner and made another two associates.

The company already stands alone among South East law firms with female managing partner Jo Worby, who is also the youngest ever person to hold the position.

In the private client team, Kelly Duke has become a partner and Wendy Buchan an associate.

Both began their careers as legal secretaries at the firm studying hard and rising through the ranks.

Brachers’ private client team has appointed nine new members over the last year.

In the family team, Mark Leeson and Mei-Ling McNab have been made partner alongside Victoria Toy, who becomes an associate.

Managing Partner Joanna Worby said: “I would like to congratulate each individual on their promotion, which is recognition of their continued hard work for the firm.

"The promotions will support us in matching the changing needs of clients and sectors in the Kent region and beyond.”
