A garden centre will open a new food hall this weekend.

Dobbies Ashford will sell products from well-known brands and Kent suppliers including Butcher of Brogdale, Baker’s Bicycle, Curd and Cure, Page & Sons and Kent Chilli Farm.

Customers will be able to sample cheeses, cakes, bread and burgers when it opens on Saturday.

Foodhall team leader Debbie Lawler, Chris Swales, garden centre manager Sherrianne Spearpoint, Steve Weller and Paul Guilfoyle

Garden centre manager Sherrianne Spearpoint said: “A lot of effort and planning has gone into getting everything ready on time and I’m positive our customers will be delighted when they stop in.

“It was so important for us to use this opportunity as a chance to engage with local suppliers – we’re incredibly lucky to have a wealth of farmers, butchers, bakers and cheesemongers on our doorstep.”
