Crimson Tide revenues reach £1.1m in first half of the year

Mobile-working software developer Crimson Tide increased revenues by 32% to £1.1 million in the first half of the year as it boosted marketing spending.

The Tunbridge Wells-based company, which serves the logistics and retail industries, reported “good progress” on international expansion as it increased pre-tax profits by 16% to £142,000.

It has won new business in the UAE, Netherlands, US and Australia.

Crimson Tide makes mobile scheduling software mpro5

Its main product is the mpro5 system, which businesses use to synchronise cloud-based software with their staff’s smartphone or tablet, allowing them to work more efficiently outside the office.

Its shares were up 4% after morning trading to 3.22p.

Executive chairman Barrie Whipp said: “We have invested in sales and marketing resources to ensure that we can take Crimson Tide to the next level.

“Our performance has been very good and we are very excited about the latest release of mpro5 which is a sea change in terms of performance and usability.

“The breadth of mpro5’s capabilities is starting to be recognised in new markets with a wide range of new opportunities. We are very excited for the future.”
