TRADESMEN are being invited to a free seminar to find out more about the latest Building Regulations relating to electrical work in dwellings.

Approved Document Part P (Electrical Safety) of the Building Regulations came into effect on January 1.

Known as Part P, this brings most domestic electrical installations under Building Regulations control in England and Wales in a government attempt to reduce the number of deaths, injuries and fires caused by faulty electics.

The free evening seminar, being held in Canterbury on Tuesday, September 20, is being organised by ELECSA, one of the Government's competent persons schemes.
