A company that installed electronic gates at the Saatchi Gallery and Leeds Castle is poised to serve its 1,000th customer as it celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Green Gate Access Systems is offering free installation to its millenary client.

The security business, based in Maidstone, has put in solar- and mains-powered gates, barriers and access systems for such clients as Ford, BT and several hospital trusts and local authorities.

Launched in 2006 at the home of husband-and-wife team Neil and Hannah Sampson, it now employs 11 people, operating out of a showroom in Bircholt Road.

It installed the UK’s largest solar school gate in Broadstairs and the country’s first O&O-branded solar car park barriers at Warwick Hospital.

Managing director Mr Sampson said: “I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. We have achieved so much in our infancy and the Green Gate name is growing rapidly in the powered gates industry.

“I’m so proud of our fantastic, hard-working family who aren’t afraid to try new things.”
