A SWANLEY nursery has been awarded a prestigious national award for staff development and training. At a special awards ceremony at Leeds Castle, Dawn to Dusk Day Nursery in Swanley School,St Mary's Road, was presented with the Investors in People (IIP) award.

The IIP process allows staff to become more involved with the running of a business, which leads to improved motivation, personal development, recognition of achievement and customer satisfaction.

Laraine Jalili, managing director of Dawn to Dusk, which has 23 members of staff, said: "We continually strive to update and implement systems that benefit our staff and the company as a whole.

"The IIP award will be a constant reminder that we not only need to maintain our current success but build upon it for a successful future."
