Recessions, housing booms, takeovers – it’s safe to say that Pauline Page has seen it all in almost three decades of working with Kent Reliance.

The team at the Chatham-based bank has now said farewell to Pauline as she retired after 28 years of service.

Pauline, who started work at the Gravesend branch in 1985, said the importance of keeping branches in the community had always been important to her but she had also enjoyed working at head office at Sun Pier.

“Whilst the branches will always have a special place in my heart, and I am extremely passionate about them, I do love the buzz of head office,” she admitted.

“Everyone is so lovely and always there to help. The atmosphere is just brilliant.”

She will maintain links with Kent Reliance, as her daughters Mandy and Lucy, both work there.

“My daughters have grown up with me being at Kent Reliance, and I am thrilled that they are working there too,” she said.

“I don’t know anyone at any company that is as happy in their work as I have been here.”

Andrew Ferguson, head of sales and distribution, said: “It’s been wonderful to have Pauline here for all this time. She has always gone the extra mile to support our customers, and has left that legacy within her team.”
