A plumbers merchants has opened a new branch after taking over a rival firm.

Drakes Plumbing Supplies has eight outlets across the South East after acquiring A&C Plumbing Supplies in Whitstable.

The new branch at John Wilson Business Park adds to sites at Tunbridge Wells, Sittingbourne, Sevenoaks, Gillingham, Ashford, Uckfield and East Grinstead.

The company has retained two former staff and rebranded the site, which will sell to both trade and retail.

Drakes’ managing director Andy Clark said: “Whitstable is a great addition to Drakes’ branch network.

“Established in 1983, Drakes values personal service. We believe that Whitstable’s plumbing customers will appreciate our knowledge and professionalism, coupled with our keen prices.”
