THE Thanet promotional firm that helped launch blockbuster films Monsters Inc and Return to Neverland has won a Queen's Award for Enterprise. Award (TP) International, of Northdown Road, Cliftonville, employs 30 people working with global blue chip companies on the development of promotional merchandise and holiday and travel incentives.

Clients include Pepsi Cola, BskyB, Exxon Mobil, Universal International Pictures, the Walt Disney Corporation and Buena Vista International. Award's overseas earnings have trebled in the last three years, with business in the Middle East and South Africa being won this year.

"Everyone at Award is absolutely delighted to have received the Queen's Award, especially in Jubilee year," said managing director Emma Hayward. "It is a real achievement for a company which started just six years ago. We work in a highly competitive business and winning this is down to a very special team of hard-working and creative people. We continue to go from strength to strength but we will certainly be taking some time out for a celebration."
