Rail workers vote for strike action

RAIL workers have backed strike action in a row over ticket office cuts affecting 99 jobs at South Eastern Trains.
The Transport Salaried Staffs’ Association has announced that 84 per cent of 310 voters called for action.
South Eastern Trains have said that more ticket machines will be used meaning staff lay-offs.
A date for the strike has not yet been fixed.
