WHEN business partners Mike Fillingham and Maureen Thornton noticed a hole in the market they decided to fill it.They have just transformed an under-used area at Syndale Park Motel at Ospringe, near Faversham, into a beauty and relaxation suite.

Reflections is a stress-busting relaxation suite with a sauna and jacuzzi and beauty treatments on tap. Miss Thornton said: "Stress is a major part of people's lives these days yet there is nowhere like this within a 20 mile radius of Faversham.

"It is really a relaxation suite as opposed to a fitness suite and is purely for pleasure, a place where women can come and unwind and mix with friends."

Mr Fillingham bought the 14-room motel five years ago. Since then he and Miss Thornton have been turning the business around.

Opening the Reflections suite has created another three jobs. At the moment the suite is geared towards women but the partners are looking at holding men-only and mixed nights in the future if the demand is there."We are very excited about it," said Miss Thornton: "We have been investing since we have been here. The Reflections suite is another addition that we have always wanted to do."
