AWARD-WINNING entrepreneur Tim Cadel blasts into 2004 on a high after his business promotional idea was taken up by the Beagle mission to Mars.

Tim and wife Jane, from Chainhurst, near Marden, set up Business Baubles last year to tap the growing demand for unusual promotional products.

Now the British Promotional Merchandise Association (BPMA) has named the bauble it the "most innovative product" of 2003.

The company supplies the £1.50 baubles with any colour, message, logo or photograph.

Customers include broadcasters, manufacturers, service companies, local councils, football clubs...and the Beagle.

Mr Cadel said: "The concept was born just before Christmas 2003 as a much-needed alternative to the corporate Christmas card.

"The idea has since been developed to include corporate events, promotions, merchandise, anniversaries, fund raising, souvenirs and Christmas.

"We have many high profile customers, but none can be higher than Beagle 2. We have supplied baubles to commemorate this epic event."
