Store opening lifts hospice funds

FURNITURE superstore MFI is celebrating the opening of its new store with a £150 donation to help the mayor's chosen charity.

MFI manager Robbie Gates invited mayor and mayoress Ted and Sylvia Baker to visit the new store in Ambley Road, Gillingham Business Park.

The donation will go towards the Friends of Wisdom Hospice in Rochester, which cares for people with terminal illnesses and offers support to their families.

The Wisdom Hospice is being refurbished and expanded to include a new day hospice and new educational facilities.
