EVERY summer, foreign students flock to the South east, seeking temporary employment as fruit pickers.

But this summer the standard of picking will be at its highest yet, thanks to a 20 minute long training video. KG Fruits, of Paddock Wood, has commissioned AC Video Productions to produce the video, which offers a comprehensive guide to the dos and don'ts of quality strawberry picking.

Made with technical assistance from ADAS, the video was shot mainly in Thanet last summer and has been handed over to KG ready for distribution around Kent.

AC, based at Bilting near Wye, is currently in the post-production stage of a second video, aimed at supervisors working in the field.
