The parent company of rapidly-growing ultrafast broadband provider Trooli has changed its name.

The Kings Hill-based Call Flow Solutions will now also adopt the name Trooli as part of a company rebrand.

Trooli has specialised in providing high-speed internet to rural areas across Kent and East Sussex, many overlooked by the major providers.

It delivers full fibre broadband connections directly into customers’ homes providing guaranteed broadband speeds of between 300Mbps and 900Mbps.

By way of comparison, the average download speed in the UK is around 50Mb.

It intends to expand into Berkshire, Hampshire, West Sussex and Wilshire later this year.

Over the past 12 months Trooli has grown fourfold, having now passed more than 50,000 premises, while staff numbers have increased by some 350 per cent. An accelerated build programme will see the network reach a minimum of 150,000 premises in 2021, rising to 500,000 by the end of 2023 and one million in 2024.

Chief executive officer Andy Conibere said: “The pandemic has massively increased the demand and need for reliable ultrafast broadband. This is currently only available to fewer than one in five households in the UK – something we are passionate about addressing.

“With good quality broadband now an increasingly essential part of people’s lives, it is clear to me – after more than 30 years in the industry – that the future of telecoms lies in the type of service Trooli provides.

Our rebranding of the whole company from Call Flow Solutions to Trooli reflects our faith in this technology, and with the team we have in place I am very excited about what lies ahead.”

Established in 2002, Call Flow launched Trooli in 2018, securing €30m in backing from the Connecting Europe Broadband Fund the following year. A further £5m was provided by NatWest in January 2020.
