FIRE safety courses for business and details of training offered by Kent Fire Brigade's Commercial Training Unit are now available on line. More than 75,000 users have visited www.kent.fire-uk.org since it was launched in May last year.

Ruth Roy, media and communications manager said: "The new sections have been developed in consultation with our customers. As part of the brigade's review of its services to businesses across Kent, we asked what they would like to see on our website. The new sections are a result of this consultation.

"This work is important because it helps the brigade to get safety messages and information across to the public but increases the accessibility of our services. Businesses can find out what legislation applied to them and take steps to ensure they know how to meet the legal requirements for fire safety in the workplace."
