TWO prize-winning businesses have received certificates in the White Cliffs Country Tourism Association awards.

The Crown Inn at Finglesham has been chosen as the best pub in the district and Dover Pine and Reproduction won the best shop category.

Association chairman Annette Macpherson said: "These awards are all about awarding excellence and reinforcing the message that Dover district has a wealth of excellent businesses where you can be sure of a warm welcome and the highest levels of service and values."

In the pub category the New Inn at Sandwich was highly commended, along with the Dover Travel Shop in the other section of the association's awards
