TWO men and a teenage girl have appeared at Maidstone Crown Court accused of murdering a 34-year-old labourer.

Neil Smitheman, 25, and Kieran Morris, 24, were seen on a TV link with Elmley Prison, Sheppey, and Maidstone Crown Court, while the 16-year-old girl appeared in the dock.

Smitheman, of Station Road, Rainham, Morris, of Speedwell Close, Gillingham, and the girl, from Gillingham, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are accused of murdering Scott Upton.

Mr Upton, a father from Gillingham, died from multiple stab wounds. His body was discovered at the back of the White Horse pub on the corner of Station Road and Rainham High Street on October 13.
