POLICE made a further three arrests this morning following yesterday's dawn raids across north and west Kent and London in connection with organised crime.

Two men and a woman were arrested in Orpington in relation to a range of offences, including conspiracy to commit burglary.

More than 180 officers were involved in yesterday's operation when they executed 17 search warrants at various addresses across the South East.

So far officers have charged and bailed a 25-year-old woman from New Ash Green, newar Dartford with fraud by false representation. She has been bailed to appear at Dartford Magistrates' Court on December 19.

A 26-year-old man from Ash, near Sevenoaks, has been charged for attempted theft of metal in Sellinge. He is due to appear before Dartford magistrates on December 17. He has been granted conditional bail.

Three men have been bailed pending further investigations and another man has been refused bail. Ten others remain in custody in undisclosed police stations across Kent.

The raids follow an intensive 12-month investigation by the Serious and Organised Crime Unit (SOCU) of Kent Police, into an organised criminal gang operating in Kent and neighbouring areas.

The investigation targeted a wide range of organised criminal activity, including cash machine thefts, robberies, burglaries and theft of lead and metal.

Members of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit have been working closely with officers from North and West Kent throughout this investigation.
