THREE men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery after an incident at Lower Halstow post office, near Sittingbourne, on Monday afternoon.

Police say they believe that offenders entered the post office at The Green and demanded money, but left the premises empty-handed. The incident happened at about 5pm.

Three men aged 30, 22 and 19 were later arrested in Sheppey on suspicion of attempted robbery. They are all currently in police custody.

The postmaster was being interviewed by Post Office staff today.
