A blank canvas at stables

Renovation opportunities across the county have become extremely scarce in recent years.

But this former stable that is on the market for £95,000 is sure to raise eyebrows.

Planning permission is already in place to convert the listed stable that is in a private estate in the centre of Wingham.

Vicky Gunn of Strutt & Parker's Canterbury office said: "The quaint existing stable has planning consent for conversion to provide a lovely two bedroom-property with kitchen, open plan dining/living area, en suite and family bathroom with a private walled garden and parking for one vehicle.

"The conversion will enable the retention of the existing internal exposed timber beams enabling purchasers to combine both old and new qualities.

"The private garden has views of the church of St Mary the Virgin."
