Reeves is partnering Great Britain’s Freeski team and leading skier Chemmy Alcott in the run-up to the Winter Olympics in February.

The accounting and business advisory firm with offices in Canterbury, Chatham Maritime and London will provide funding and financial services support to the Freeski team in the build up to the Games in Sochi.

The deal involves bursaries to support Great Britain’s 16-21 year old Freeski athletes, helping to pay for access to elite competition and training programmes. Chemmy will be supported as a client of Reeves’ Private Client team.

Managing partner Clive Stevens said: “The dedication, talent and creativity displayed by these young athletes is more than impressive, it is inspirational. ”

Pat Sharples, head coach of the GBFreeski team, welcomed the firm’s support. It was vital to help the athletes achieve their peak potential while preparing for the Winter Olympics, he said. “There’s a lot to think about on and off the slope, so Reeves supporting our Freeski team will be immensely helpful.”

There are strong medal hopes for Katie Summerhayes, ranked sixth in the world and a World Championship Silver Slopestyle medalist, and James Woods, ranked number one in the world, and World Championship Slopestyle Gold medal holder.

Katie Summerhayes, 18, said: “This is such a fantastic confidence for all our team having a big company like Reeves recognise our potential and back us at the Olympics.”
