Air Ambulance lands after man injured in Biddenden

The Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance

A pensioner has been seriously injured after being hit by a car in North Street, Biddenden.

The accident happened around 2.35pm on the A247 and the 65-year-old victim is believed to be a local man who was crossing the road near the village playing field.

He was hit by a blue Honda Civic near the junction of Old Mill Court.

The Air Ambulance was at the scene and the man was taken to a London hospital.

The main road was closed between the centre of the village and Woolpack Corner while the scene was investigated. It was reopened at 6.55pm.

Accident investigators would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen the vehicle or pedestrian prior to the collision.
