Airport flying high in survey

London Biggin Hill airport has been voted as one the best Fixed Based Operator (FBO) airports in the UK by the leading industry publication European Business Air News (EBAN.

As one of more than 40 UK based FBOs, Biggin Hill provides a variety of services such as maintenance, fuel, flight instruction and hangar space for aircraft.

Overall, Biggin Hill came in the top 25 airports across Europe and the Middle East, coming up against strong opposition from more than 1,000 airports.

Airports were judged by EBAN's qualified aircraft-operating readers on the quality of their facilities, services and staff.

Biggin Hill scored highly on its infrastructure, its ability to meet every customer need and its highly trained and motivated people on the ground.

Biggin Hill Airport managing director, Peter Lonergan, said: "To be ranked so highly in the whole of Europe and the Middle East as an FBO facility, when facing competition from much bigger airports with far greater traffic movements, is a major achievement for Biggin Hill and our excellent team of staff.''
