A 29-year-old man has been arrested after an allegation of a serious sexual assault in a Kent town.

The alleged attack took place at Newington Park, Ramsgate.

The suspect has been released on bail pending further enquiries following the incident, which happed in the early hours of Wednesday, July 18. He is due back at Margate police station on August 11.

The woman involved is in her 20s and from Ramsgate.
