A person was arrested after a fight broke out at a boxing bout in Bluewater.

The event, screened live on Channel 5, featured James DeGale and Frenchman Hadillah Mohoumada.

DeGale retained his European Super Middleweight title with a points victory.

It was the first time the shopping centre had hosted a sporting event and thousands took to the venue to see the fight.

Police were called at around 10pm amid reports of a disturbance, and one person was arrested on a public order offence.

It is believed trouble broke out among fans during one of the several bouts on Saturday night.

A group of about 30 to 40 men, thought to be travellers, went outside where the fighting continued.

A Bluewater spokesman said: "The police attended the minor incident, which did not mar an otherwise successful evening."
