A mother arrested last week in connection with the death of her 11-year-old son was this afternoon released from hospital into police custody.

The woman, Jenny Taylor, is being questioned by officers from Kent Police’s Major Crime Department in connection with their investigation into the death of 11-year-old James Taylor.

James’s body was found at an address at Knights Croft, New Ash Green on Tuesday December 2.

An inquest into James’s death will be opened, but the date for this is not yet known.
