Assault on girl, 16, in Ashford

Police are seeking witnesses to an assault which left a 16-year-old girl unconscious in Mace Lane, Ashford.

According to the police, the student was attacked as she walked along Mace Lane on December 2 between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.

She crossed the road to walk along the cycle path to Kennington.

On the grassy area behind the fire station on Henwood Industrial Estate she passed a group of youths and one shouted at her.

A few seconds later she was grabbed from behind by a woman, who punched her and pulled her hair.

The student fell to the ground and was kicked in the back, before blacking out.

The suspect is described as white, aged 16-17, very long blonde hair and wearing a grey or black hoody.
