A 48-year-old woman fought back after her arm was broken in a street attack.

The victim was knocked to the ground and injured by a group of men who then rifled through her pockets.

A police spokesman said: "However, she fought back with her good arm, got up and walked off."

The violent assault happened as she walked down Edgar Road, Cliftonville, near the junction with Stanley Road on Sunday at about 8.15pm.
