More than 10,000 people visited Turner Contemporary over the
weekend, as Margate's £17 million art gallery opened for the first
time.

KM Group photographer Paul Dennis captured the highlights of the
opening ceremony, while KentOnline's Martin Jefferies got the
thoughts of local people, musician Jools Holland and North Thanet
MP Roger Gale.
