ARMED robbers struck twice in North Kent on Wednesday evening in raids about 30 minutes apart.

At about 7.15pm, three men, all wearing balaclavas entered the Mini Mart store on Park Terrace in Greenhithe, near Dartford.

As one acted as lookout the two others, carrying an axe and a stun gun grabbed cash from the till. They made off in a light coloured vehicle and headed to Cost Cutters at Wilmington.

Staff there were threatened by two raiders carrying a stun gun and axe and several hundred pounds was snatched. The robbers then drove off at speed towards Swanley.

Police are appealing for help on 01474 565167 and Crimestoppers 0800 555111.
