POLICE are investigating after a bible was discovered bolted to a telegraph pole in Thanet.

Officers were called to Cinder Path at Broadstairs on Sunday evening after a member of the public had spotted the book high up on the pole.

It is believed the bible was bolted to the pole between 9pm on Saturday and 8pm on Sunday.

A police spokesman said a watch would be kept on the area. Anyone with information is asked to contact Margate Police on 01843 222033.
