Bid to cut attacks on shop staff

KENT union leaders are raising awareness of a campaign to cut the number of attacks on shop staff.

It follows research predicting a seasonal rise in arrest for shoplifting and the amount of the goods being stolen.

Reps from the shop workers' union USDAW want people to take notice of their Freedom From Fear campaign highlighting the effect criminals and unwelcome customers have on staff.
