Big cat fears after foal found mauled

The owner of a foal found "ripped to shreds" in a field believes a big cat is to blame.

Now John Lee, from Staplehurst, is worried for the safety of his children.

Mr Lee is convinced that a big cat was behind the attack on the week-and-a-half old foal after looking at photographs of huge paw prints taken nearby by Police Community Support Officer Pete Gardner.

“There was no way it could have been a dog," said Mr Lee, "the prints were as big as my hand.”
