There was rush hour chaos on the M2 this evening when a motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a van.

The rider was lifted from the London-bound carriageway close to the Farthing corner services by the Kent Air Ambulance but his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

Police said there was serious congestion for about an hour, but traffic was now starting to move.
