It was buckets and spades at the ready when the big kmfm competition 3 Grand in the Sand came to an end this morning.

Ten finalists in the contest, run with P&O Ferries, had a plot each in Epple Bay beach in Margate and then dug deep until the big prize was won.

They'd won their chance on the kmfm breakfast show with Garry and Emma.

And here's the moment Laura Hill from Birchington realised she'd won.

She's going to spend her winnings with her sister-in-law and take a big, summer holiday.

All finalists also won crossings with P&O Ferries, plus upgrades.
