A boy found dead in his home had drowned, police have said.

Post-mortem examinations carried out following the death of 11-year-old James Taylor also revealed traces of drugs in his body.

The bright Wilmington Grammar School for Boys pupil was discovered dead at his home in Knights Croft, New Ash Green, on December 2.

An inquest into the youngster's death has not yet been opened.

The boy's mother, 44-year-old Jennifer Taylor, is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday, March 20, charged with his murder.
