Boy punched in head on pedestrian crossing

POLICE are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted on a pedestrian crossing by a car driver.

A 17-year-old victim was crossing the road when a silver Vauxhall car pulled up beside him.

The driver got out of his vehicle, started shouting at the teenager, and then began punching him in the head.

The victim received injuries to his face and eye during the attack in London Road, Swanley, near Dartford, on Wednesday, November 18, at about 4.15pm.

The offender is described as a white man, aged between 25 and 30. He is about 6ft 2in tall and of stocky build.

Det Sgt Tom Duff, the officer investigating this incident, said: “This has caused the victim a great deal of distress and I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident to contact the police.”
