Two schoolboys aged 13 and 14 were injured in a road accident yesterday afternoon.

They are believed to have been hit by a car in Maidstone Road, Rainham, on their way home from school.

As of 5.30pm the road was closed between Broadview Avenue and Herbert Road.

Both boys were taken to Medway Maritime Hospital.

The nature of their injuries is not known.
