A 46-year-old man has been kicked, punched to the ground and robbed by four men in a Kent churchyard.

The thugs stole his money, glasses, wristwatch, leather jacket and a walking stick in an attack in St John’s Churchyard at Margate.

Police say the victim was walking home through the parish graveyard at about 6pm on Monday when he was confronted by the men who were in their late teens and early twenties.

After knocking him to the ground, they pinned him down and searched through his clothes before running off.
