Buffaloes paint kiddies' centre

SIX members of the Island branch of a fraternal charity painted the front of Preston Skreens children’s respite centre in Minster Road, Minster.

They all belong to the Royal Antideluvian Order of Buffaloes which meets in High Street, Sheerness.

Spokesman Kevin Cumberland said: “We are known as The Hand of Friendship Lodge and like to good deeds in the community. The unit badly needed repainting so we got down there and freshened it up courtesy of the £50 we raised in a raffle which we used to buy paint.

“Fortunately we chose a day when the sun shone.”
