Tunbridge Wells bus crash

A single-decker bus has careered into a shop in Tunbridge Wells town centre today.

Police are dealing with the incident in Calverley Road, at the junction with Calverley Park Gardens and Crescent Road.

No passengers or pedestrians were injured, but the bus driver was taken to the Kent and Sussex hospital.

Crescent Road was closed at the roundabout with Calverley Park and the junction with Mount Pleasant while emergency services dealt with the incident and the bus was recovered. The road re-opened at around 12.15pm.
