Cannabis up in smoke thanks to Kent Police

Ever wonder what two tonnes of cannabis looks like?

They incinerated 2.3 tonnes of the drug, worth about £9m, as part of their Day of Action on December 1. It had been found during one raid earlier this year.

Kent Police’s Head of Crime and Intelligence Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Powell said: "Kent Police works constantly to disrupt the activities of drug suppliers and dealers to stop them getting a foothold in the area.

“They create havoc and misery, so by destroying this amount of drugs seized in one raid we are targeting those criminals that cause the most harm to the county."
