Canterbury city councillor Martin Fisher denies sex offences

Canterbury city councillor Martin Fisher has appeared in court and denied a total of 20 sex offences against him.

Mr Fisher, 60, of Queens Road, Whitstable, is accused of nine offences of indecent assault or sexual assault involving children.

Some of the allegations dating back to the 1980s, Canterbury Crown Court heard.

He also faces 11 charges of possessing or making indecent images of children.

A trial date was fixed for November 30 and he must continue to live at Blenheim Road, Sittingbourne, as a condition of his bail.
