Canterbury mother and daughter charged with murder are remanded

Don Banfield

The Kent wife and daughter of a man who vanished 10 years ago have been remanded in custody accused of his murder today.

Bookmaker Don Banfield, from Harrow, in north-west London, was 63 when he was last seen in May 2001.

His body's never been found.

Shirley Banfield and their daughter Lynette, of Ashford Road, also face charges of conspiracy to defraud and forgery in relation to Mr Banfield's company pension.
