Cars in the top 10 charts

THE VW Golf was Britain's top selling new car in November, and the Peugeot 206 was the nation's favourite used vehicle, according to two new Top 10 charts released by Autolink.

The charts are the people's choice say Autolink, because they are the vehicles the ordinary man and woman in the street want to buy when they can choose from any vehicle they want and are not under pressure from individual main dealers.

As Autolink also sell mainly to consumers and not major fleet buyers, it is also possible, says the company, to get a more accurate picture of what is hot and in demand in both the new and used car markets.

The top 10 charts, which will be published every month, are based on sales of 16,000 cars every year, from five locations: Maidstone, Southampton, Leicester, West Bromwich and Chingford. A further seven branches are planned in the next 12 to 18 months.
