Man wanted over Swanley cash ambush

This man is being hunted over a cash ambush at a petrol station in Swanley.

Detectives want to speak to him after £4,000 was stolen by two men who held up a security van driver at the London Road filling station.

The pair are believed to have been armed when they struck at the Oil Well service station at around 1.50pm on Saturday, August 4, but the CCTV image has only just been released.

The men were using a stolen silver Mercedes SL500 that was being driven on false registration plates.

They stole a cash box cotaining £4,000 from the security van driver.

Kent Police said later witness reports said two men were seen in the area of The Course, Eltham, south London, a short while later forcing the cash box open. Officers located the stolen car in a nearby car park.

Anyone recognises the man or has information that might help detectives is asked to phone Kent Police on 101, quoting reference YY/013962/12, or Kent CrimeStoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
