Gillingham's Priestfield Stadium

Gillingham’s forthcoming home match with rivals Charlton is heading for a sell-out after the visitors sold their final ticket on Monday.

The Addicks were allocated 2,354 tickets for the much-anticipated clash at Priestfield - the first league meeting between the clubs since May 1981.

The Gills are experiencing "steady" ticket sales for the game, on Saturday October 24, with a couple of thousands seats still up for grabs. They are expected to be snapped-up as the game gets closer.

Gillingham last met the Addicks in competitive action in the FA Cup in January 2004. The Gills won that game 3-2 thanks to goals from Tommy Johnson, Mamady Sidibe and Paul Smith, together with a great performance from keeper Bertrand Bossu.
